TROYTEST & QUICKTEST PRECIOUS METAL TESTERS

Troytest has been manufacturing precious metal testers since 1949, Quicktest since 1986, these are the standard testers available in nearly every jewellery wholesaler in the U.K.. These are also the simplest testers to use. Each set is supplied in a strong wooden box with full instructions and accessories.

Each bottle has a childproof cap, is semi-transparent so that you can see how much fluid remains, and has the date of manufacture printed on the label.

There are three models.

The 3-bottle QUICKTEST-3 is for testing gold and silver

The 4-bottle TROYTEST-4 (known until 2008 as Mk V) is for testing gold, silver and platinum

The 5-bottle TROYTEST-5 (known until 2008 as Mk VI) is for testing gold, silver, platinum, palladium and also 8ct / high-zinc gold

This website describes the difference between the sets, the purpose of each bottle, hints and tips, and safety precautions
